Y2K Church Brown-Out
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with Yahweh.
For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Co 3:19

Many people in 1999 are concerned about the Y2K problem forecasted for the year 2000. But is anybody worried about the Church's Y2K problem? The Y2K problem consists mainly of things being shut down. Yet, what we call the so called Church of today is been in the process of shutting down for all most 2000 years. Or, we could call it a slow brown-out. It is a far cry from what the original church was suppose to be.

If you look back to the first century, one will find Yahshua (Jesus) came to establish an assembly, a congregation, or a group of called out ones, to become part of one body in Him. Romans 12:5 says "So we, [being] many, are one body in Yahshua, and every one members one of another." Notice what the last part of that verse says "and every one members one of another." Are all the Churches joined together today as one body? You be the judge of that.

First of all, we need to look at how the word "Church" came into being. It began when the Greek word ekklesia was translated into English. Not the best of translations. For when we break down the word ekklesia #1577 which is a compound of #1537 and a derivative of #2564 we come up with this; ek #1537 means - out, kaleo #2564 means - to call. Therefore, we come up with "to call out" or "the called out ones". One definition Strong gives for these called out ones is - an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting.

Now, when Christians are gathered together, regardless of in one building or many buildings at the same time; Shouldn't we all being agreeing to the same message and to the same meanings? However, we all know this is not so! And, Why Not? Because certain groups of people would gather together, who didn't agree on everything, and broke away into forming their own church. Many denominations began to form. Each denomination would put up with each other in public, but that was as far as it went. When it came to the Word of Yahweh (God), division sets in. This was not the purpose in the first century when Yahshua and His apostles tried to establish one faith or one body of believers. Denominationalism was not their goal, as it should not be our's. Denominationalism is the Y2K brown-out of the Church today.

If we are ever to have unity of all churches believing in one faith, we are going to have to give up denominational pride, organizations, and stop trying to justify it. "For Yahweh is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches [assemblies] of the saints." (1 Corinthians 14:33)

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." (1 Timothy 4:1) Yahshua gave warning of this also in Matthew chapter 4. Verse 24 "For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Back in verse 11, He spoke "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." Counterfeit Christianity today is on the rise and well throughout the world. Satan is having his way just as was foretold. We are in the season of the last days, and Yahshua said "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." (Matthew 24:6-8)

People, due to "Ignorance" are being caught up in what others from the pulpits are telling them. Sin is preached very little, if at all, in many churches today. Maybe they are afraid of squelching people's set sense of security, whereby, they'll lose some of the multitude and the money box will decrease. Yet, nevertheless, sin must be dealt with to receive eternal life. Ruffling some feathers is not always easy. Going to church for an hour, one day a week and sinning for the rest of the week just will not cut it.

People need to start studying the Word for themselves and turn away from the paganism customs and doctrines that have infiltrated the churches down through the years. Things are going to get much worse, get yourself prepared by listening to the Voice of the Spirit and grow strong in your faith toward the True Word of Yahweh. Otherwise you will become part of the Y2K Church Brown-Out. Remember, we may have to live in this world, but we who are true Believers in the Truth, are not of this world. (See John 15:19)

Much more could be said on this subject. But, I hope you get the meaning to the short message given here.
